In short
Maintly does not have accounts, servers or cloud sync. Every asset, service record, fuel entry, photo and document you create is written to a database on your own device and never leaves it. We cannot see your data, because it is never sent to us.
This version of Maintly shows no advertisements and contains no analytics.
1. Who this policy is from
This policy describes how the mobile application Maintly
(package identifier com.zdmr.maintlyserviceperiodkeeper, the “App”) handles information.
The App is published by Kağan Özdemir, based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”).
It applies to the App only. It does not apply to any website, service or application operated by anyone else, including services you reach by following a link out of the App.
By installing and using the App you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the App.
2. Information you enter stays on your device
Maintly is an offline maintenance logbook. The following categories of information are created by you inside the App and are stored exclusively in a local database on your device:
- Assets you add — type, make, model, year, plate or serial number, odometer or engine-hour readings, purchase details
- Service and maintenance records — dates, work performed, costs, service provider, notes
- Fuel and charging entries — amounts, unit prices, totals, stations, odometer readings
- Legal and compliance dates — inspection, road tax, insurance, tire change, warranty expiry
- Photos and documents you attach to an asset
- Your local profile — the display name and photo you optionally set, plus preferences such as language, theme, currency and notification settings
We do not collect, receive, transmit, store on a server, sell, rent or share any of this information. There is no registration, no login, no user account and no synchronisation between devices. The App is fully functional with no network connection at all.
Backup archives (.zip) and exports (CSV, PDF) that you
create are written to storage you choose. If you then send an export to
someone else or upload it to a cloud service, that transfer is yours and
is governed by that service’s policy, not this one.
3. Device permissions and why they are requested
The App requests the minimum set of permissions needed for the features you actually use. Each one is optional; declining it disables only the related feature.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, precise location or health data, and does not track your location in the background.
4. Third parties
The App uses the operating system’s own services (local notification scheduling, the photo picker, the file picker and the calendar) which run on your device under Apple’s and Google’s platform privacy terms.
Beyond the advertising provider described above where applicable, we do not embed analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, social network SDKs, attribution or A/B-testing tools. We do not use cookies or any similar tracking technology inside the App.
Because we hold no data about you, we have nothing to disclose in response to a subpoena, court order or government request other than what the app stores themselves already hold about your download.
5. Children
The App is a general-purpose utility intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the equivalent minimum age in your country). 6. Retention and deletion
Because your records are stored only on your device, you control their lifetime completely:
- Delete an individual record, photo or document from inside the App.
- Delete an asset to remove it together with all of its service records, fuel entries, photos and documents.
- Uninstalling the App permanently erases the entire local database and all attached media. This cannot be undone by us, because we hold no copy. Export a backup archive first if you want to keep your history.
Backup archives you exported yourself remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.
7. Security
Your data is protected by your device’s own security: the screen lock, user authentication and the file-system encryption provided by iOS and Android for application storage. Keeping the device locked, updated and free of malware is the most effective protection.
Note that a device backup you make yourself (iCloud Backup, Google One backup or a computer backup) may include the App’s data. Those backups are governed by Apple’s or Google’s terms, not by this policy.
No storage method is perfectly secure. We keep the App free of unnecessary network access precisely to reduce this risk surface.
8. Your legal rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law — including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent.
For the information described in section 2, you exercise these rights directly in the App: you already hold the only copy, you can view and edit any record, export it in CSV, PDF or ZIP form for portability, and erase it at will. We cannot access, produce, correct or delete it on your behalf, because we never receive it.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (in Türkiye, the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes or the law requires it. The “last updated” date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will make it visible in the App before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that point means you accept the revised policy.
